Austria is one of the highest countries ranked in terms of quality of life. Other than that, the healthcare there is also very accessible. However, when we look further into the country, it has a problem of high alcohol consumption prevalence. Even OECD stated that 33% of adults in Austria engage in binge alcohol drinking at least once a month. This leads to some health problems that are contributing to the highest cause of death in Austria, which are all non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as Alzheimer's disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, ischemic heart disease, and lung cancer.

Knowing that kind of problem exist in a high-quality country such as Austria, I know that many global citizens can make a difference. I plan to make Austrian citizens realize how bad the binge drinking habit will affect their life. For example, I intend to make a program that will encourage Austrians to quit too much-drinking alcohol habit.

The program can be achieved by collaborating with the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) to make sure that the program is sustainable. Other than that, I also think that the government in Austria can have discussions with other countries that have the lowest alcohol intake in order to establish a law in terms of limiting alcohol consumption that will protect the nation's health or other relevant regulations.

The collaboration made between the nation with other countries and relevant organizations will establish a more meaningful relationship as a global citizen. Moreover, it will also make each country learn more about the other and leads to an improvement in both nations' overall growth.
